Challenger Gym’s pickleball hours for April 27 – May 1 are as follows:
Monday April 27: 4:30pm – 8:00pm
Tuesday April 28: 4:30pm – 8:00pm
Wednesday April 29: 4:30pm – 8:00pm
* Thursday April 30: 4:30pm – 8:00pm
Friday May 1: 4:30pm – 8:00pm
*Note: Thursday is “family pickleball” day, which means people under the age of 16 may participate if accompanied by a parent or guardian.
The Huntsville Pickleball Club will be working with the Parks and Rec Dept to host another drills and skills session at Challenger Elementary School.
When: March 10, 11th and 12th from 6-8 pm.
Location: Challenger Elementary Gymnasium – 13555 Chaney Thompson Rd SE, Huntsville, AL 35803 Use the Hobbs Road entrance to access the gym.

Monday December 29: 12:00pm – 4:30pm
Tuesday December 30: 12:00pm – 4:30pm
Wednesday December 31: 12:00pm – 4:30pm
Thursday Jan 1: CLOSED
Friday Jan 2: 12:00pm – 4:30pm
Pickleball will be available at the Challenger Gym on December 19, 2025 from 12:00 noon until 4:30 pm.
The Huntsville Pickleball Club will be supporting the Huntsville Learning Center with a series of classes for an Introduction to Pickleball. There will be 8-12 students we will be working with, and play will be indoors.
Classes will be on Tuesday afternoon from 3:30-4:30 beginning on Jan 6 and ending on Feb 24.
The Huntsville Learning Center is located at 3207 Kavanaugh Dr NW, Huntsville AL 35810.
All volunteers must complete a background check form that I can have emailed to you.

Challenger Gym’s pickleball schedule will be affected for the next couple of months due to the youth recreation league basketball.

Effective 03-Nov-2025, pickleball will not be available on Saturdays, Sundays or Wednesdays at Fern Bell. Play will still be available on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Normal play will resume after basketball season is over.
It’s time to GLOW PLAY again! This year, HPC has teamed up with Rocket City Pickleball Club (RCPC) and SportsMed to offer a new version of Glow in the Dark Pickleball.

Time: 6-9pm
Where: 3228 Leeman Ferry Rd SW.
We will have 8 courts to offer play for all skill levels. Be sure to wear white or neon colored clothing!! We will have body paint available and neon tape to decorate your paddles. Please refrain from bringing large bags, so we can keep floor space and walkways clear.
This event is FREE for all HPC members, so if you haven’t renewed your membership, please do so at the link below. You can also renew on-site at the event by bringing $10 check/cash.

This summer, we are trying to accommodate many programs and sports at the Mark Russell Recreation Center, such as our Summer Camp program and ongoing fitness classes. In order to do this, we are going to have to revise the Summer Pickleball schedule. We will be removing some morning times (Mondays and Tuesdays), but we will also be adding some additional evening and specialty times. These times are only for June 3-July 26. Please see the details below.
